Project Manager/Estimator
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in construction management or a related field and will have at least five years experience. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Project is required, knowledge of CAD is helpful. This position encompasses all aspects of project management including submittals, change orders, coordination with superintendents, requisitions, maintaining relationships with owners and architects, and project close out. Estimating involves subcontractor solicitation, quantity take-off, pricing, final assembly, and proposal writing. Republic's growth has been constant and this success is clearly attributable to outstanding customer relationships. Our clients include well known institutions and property owners. Over 80% of our work is negotiated. The person filling this position must thoroughly understand the concept of service and implement this concept on a daily basis. Superintendent
This position demands strong organizational and scheduling skills as our projects are always completed on time. This candidate typically has as carpenter’s background, and should possess at least 10 years experience in supervising construction projects up to 10 million dollars. The project supervisor assures total coordination of building components, subcontractor work efforts, and always maintains a “team oriented” atmosphere. This individual is ultimately responsible for completing the work to the highest quality level possible and in accordance with the contract documents. Computer skills and familiarity with project management software is a plus. Enforcing jobsite safety regulations is a major component to this position, and OSHA training is preferred.
